Scar Tissue

Jake Easley

Scar Tissue

Hiding, ashamed…
Ripping,
Pulling,
Digging…at my scars.

Embeded in my skin,
Like a dirty sidewalk…
Only to be walked on.

Removed, forever…
Never seen,
Only then will I be happy…
With my scar tissue.

No manip here. Scars are all mine. How…just lucky I guess? Used PS to bring out the textures.

    Thanks a ton!!

This one took several tries. The mask is on the back of my head. So after I released the timer I had to guess about the position.

Wonderful – dramatic; the photo is very good, but without the powerful description it would be lacking the strong impact.

and by the way; I meant that in the nicest way – your work is very moving!

Thanks Joyce. I always believe the image itself is what should draw you in. I hope to be able to grab your attention with a little thumbnail.

But when you’re not looking at a landscape or similiar, it can be hard for another to envision what your goal was. I sometimes don’t understand the purpose of a photo. But after reading a description it can be very moving. Usually, this only applies to people images.

Obviously you have had your share of less fortunate moments in life.
But I quess that makes us who we are today. And in your case that is a true artist with both a great sence of humor and a very direct style to get your point across.
I’m a big fan of your work. Michael

The mask drew me to the thumbnail. When I clicked on the image the rest of the impact came.
