This photo was taken here in Kentucky at my neighbor’s house on 7/18/2010. Janeen had purchased a bag of potting soil, then used it to pot some flowers that she had bought to put out by her mailbox. A few days later she noticed that she had young Sunflower seedlings coming up from seeds that must have been in the potting soil. She let them grow and they now grace her mailbox area, so I get to photograph them. I used my 25 year old prime 135mm F2.8 lens on my Minolta DSLR Maxxum 5D. This is fast becoming my favorite lens, it is so quick and clear. I am getting some of my sharpest shots with this lens. Photo was taken manual, hand held at F2.8 .1/200 ISO 1600. Did I mentioned, it was late in the day with very little light. This camera and lens can see better than I.
