"One Hard Working Man With His New Truck" by

This is my husband Mack (how is that for a good trucker name) I took this photo in front of our house on his first trip home with his new truck. That is one proud man & I am one lucky and very proud wife.
Mack is starting to use a Minolta Z3 that I gave him. I have to be honest since all of his photos are taken through either his windshield or window I can’t believe how many good shots he has gotten in such a short time. My guy has a great eye. I will start posting some of his work for him soon. I think I will open his own site for him. It has been good for me because now that he is enjoying photography he has a better understanding of why I love it so much. Taken in Leitchfield Kentucky 4/12/2010

Beautiful truck….I did this for 15yrs…..and yes it is a very hard way to make a living…hard on the drivers health…the family and just having a life…people don’t realize what they give up to be out there…I could never have stayed out that long though…!

  • Thanks Joe,
Your right it is 2009 Cascadia. It was brand new when I took this photo. I don’t know about where you live but here in the US trucking is getting very hard at making a living. Last week alone his fuel cost were $2000.00
thanks for the invite, I did go and join.

I’m in Australia – it is the same here as well! A$1.54 for a litre of diesel and most of our trucks carry 2000 litres+ of fuel (especially the road trains)
