This tiny Carolina Chickadee has it’s feathers all puffed up trying to keep warm, but as you can see the wind was brutal this day and was blowing so hard that the poor little bird’s skin was exposed. For us here in Kentucky this Winter has been much colder than normal with more snow than we would normally see in six Winters. We have had snow on the ground since late January. We live out of town back in the woods on Rough River so we don’t get our roads cleared. I have only been able to drive into town once in the last 3 weeks.
