"Little Escape Artist"
Belle is my little Dumbo Rat escape artist, she can get out of anything! She was just a little baby here. In fact she was no bigger than a mouse in this photo.The first time this happened I was frantic. As soon as I spotted her I remained very calm so as not to scare her and have her hide in some spot that I could not reach her. I called her name very softly, and as soon as she saw me she came running fast as her little rattie feet would carry her. That is when I learned that she tries to escape not to get loose but to come to me. She is such a great little companion, I must admit I really do love this little rat girl.

This little angel is adorable, great capture! That being said, I am phobic about rats and mice so if she had ran at top speed to me I probably would have climbed the furniture and probably wet my pants. I can handle somewhat if I know there tame and they make no sudden moves. Hearing about such love and devotion from the little sweetie does help me tell myself they ARE o.k., just breath, breath!
