2nd version without lettering to fit into certain groups
James Bigglesworth, nicknamed Biggles, was the creation of “Captain” WE Johns, ex RFC pilot in WW1 (1914-18).
See here for all the details.
I don’t know if he did have a RAF style handlebar moustache?!
This is drawn in cheap coloured pencils on A4+ paper for our local ART Club’s, monthly competition of a character from fiction. This was my obvious choice !!LOL

My main interest is painting Aviation Art.
I get a lot of enjoyment researching the historical background behind the picture I’ve been commissioned to paint.
I work in acrylic on my big paintings on canvas board but use water colors, pastels, soft and oil, for smaller pieces.
I also enjoy doing pet portraits in soft pastels on tinted paper, from photographs. Ideal presents for Xmas and birthdays.
