A highly polished wooden launch/tender in the water next to the Royal Yacht Britania berthed in Edinburgh.
The RN sailors and RM bandsmen had to wear rubber soled plimsoles so as not to make a noise.

My main interest is painting Aviation Art.
I get a lot of enjoyment researching the historical background behind the picture I’ve been commissioned to paint.
I work in acrylic on my big paintings on canvas board but use water colors, pastels, soft and oil, for smaller pieces.
I also enjoy doing pet portraits in soft pastels on tinted paper, from photographs. Ideal presents for Xmas and birthdays.

Probably a better-looking craft overall than the Royal Yacht herself! But not a bad berth buddy to snuggle up to, eh? Beautiful shot, Neil.

  • Thanks Sheila,
The Royal Yacht is pretty impressive, in an old fashion way.
