Seahouses' Harbour and Fishing Boats by

I’ve put a few finishing touches and matt varnished my painting for our art clubs monthly competition.
As I won the last challenge and choose the subject I could not enter this month. All this month’s entries, (fishing boats) are going to be offered for displayed at our local life boat premises for fund raising.
I’ve vowed this year to do a painting/drawing every month, for the competition and not spend so much time on RB!!!LOL.
This is how I remember it in the late 1960/70s when I worked in the area and had a winter let just off to the left..
Acrylic on hardboard, 16 × 10 inches.

My main interest is painting Aviation Art.
I get a lot of enjoyment researching the historical background behind the picture I’ve been commissioned to paint.
I work in acrylic on my big paintings on canvas board but use water colors, pastels, soft and oil, for smaller pieces.
I also enjoy doing pet portraits in soft pastels on tinted paper, from photographs. Ideal presents for Xmas and birthdays.

Lovely image of a place I love. When I get to Seahouses I know that the Farnes and the magnificent coastal scenery are a short hop away. Will be back there in a few weeks. Alma

  • Thanks Alma
I hope the weather stays nice for your trip up north.
