acrylic, ship, woodie, sailing ship, neil wooding, drying sails

My main interest is painting Aviation Art.
I get a lot of enjoyment researching the historical background behind the picture I’ve been commissioned to paint.
I work in acrylic on my big paintings on canvas board but use water colors, pastels, soft and oil, for smaller pieces.
I also enjoy doing pet portraits in soft pastels on tinted paper, from photographs. Ideal presents for Xmas and birthdays.

Very beautiful…..something so regal, even romantic…..about old sailing ships.

  • They were very hard and dangerous places to work.
    But still very beautiful.

This is very evocative. You’ve certainly captured the flavour of the dockyard.

  • Thanks Jack,
