Available to buy on…

This is about the only thing I’ve inherited from my Grandmother. My mother had given it to her sister- in- law but I claimed it back and brought it back to Newcastle upon Tyne from Weymouth, Dorset.
Ringtons is a big tea/coffee merchant company in the north of England.
Ringtons, Chintz blue with colour, 1930s, slightly crazed inside. worth £150.
These would of been given away free to regular customers.

My main interest is painting Aviation Art.
I get a lot of enjoyment researching the historical background behind the picture I’ve been commissioned to paint.
I work in acrylic on my big paintings on canvas board but use water colors, pastels, soft and oil, for smaller pieces.
I also enjoy doing pet portraits in soft pastels on tinted paper, from photographs. Ideal presents for Xmas and birthdays.

This is a beautiful old teapot Woodie! I am pleased that you claimed it back.
I collect old teapots and have included them in a few still lifes. Most of the ones I have are either from family members (mother, grandmother) or from auctions.

  • Hi Mrs W,
They are collected by ex-geordies (from Newcastle) and taken home to Oz and Canada as reminders of the youth!!
    Cheers Neil.

My Rington’s man called today! Nowadays they have a catalogue with teapots and chocolate biscuits to buy. Nothing is given away these days! Rington’s is still great tasting tea though!

  • We have a reproduction quarter/half size 1920sTea Caddy made by Wade in 1993. Chinese Willow pattern. Also a few years ago I bought the Special Edtion, one off, never to be repeated, Rington’s Horse and Cart only for them to give the same offer a year later!!!
We don’t get tea from them now!!
    Cheers Neil

That was a sneaky thing to do. I don’t blame you for getting your tea elsewhere. The rotters!
