Detail of PR XVI

My main interest is painting Aviation Art.
I get a lot of enjoyment researching the historical background behind the picture I’ve been commissioned to paint.
I work in acrylic on my big paintings on canvas board but use water colors, pastels, soft and oil, for smaller pieces.
I also enjoy doing pet portraits in soft pastels on tinted paper, from photographs. Ideal presents for Xmas and birthdays.

You are just so talented! This is fantastic, and I agree with Sandra re: the composition.

  • Thanks Lynda,
If you blanked out the plane I think you would still have a picture.

Really nice piece of art Neil showing a great aircraft. The composition is really good.

  • Thanks Shane,
It’s a lovely plane to paint and draw.
It’s a pity there are no flying mossies.

Stunning work Neil, you captured the time period beautifully.

  • I used an old Nature Book, printed 1947, that I’ve had since I was 10 years old, for ref.
    Cheers Neil
