Artist's Description

I painted this for 101 Sqdn Association to present to the French Army at Maily Camp on the 50th anniversary of the raid. Pre D-Day, the German Panzers tanks, were massing here to prevent the allies getting to Germany.
Group Captain Lenard Cheshire was the Bomber Leader on this raid but lost radio contact with the main bomber force and a lot of planes were lost.
I’ve just remember, there were captions written in french under the 4 main parts
