Another Lancaster of 101 Squadron. During WW2, 1939-45, this squadron flew on most bombing raids as they provided the jamming of the radio transmissions of the Luftwaffe Fighter Control. They carried an 8th crew member, a German speaking special operator, who transmitted engine noise on the Luftwaffe controllers’ frequency. Jamming equipment called ABC, (Air Borne Cigar).
