My main interest is painting Aviation Art.
I get a lot of enjoyment researching the historical background behind the picture I’ve been commissioned to paint.
I work in acrylic on my big paintings on canvas board but use water colors, pastels, soft and oil, for smaller pieces.
I also enjoy doing pet portraits in soft pastels on tinted paper, from photographs. Ideal presents for Xmas and birthdays.

That box has been there years and years, right? The reason I ask is that, coming from York, I used to have most of my summer holidays in Scarborough. Also, as a small child, I loved Doctor Who.

Guess what one of my highlights on a day trip to Scarborough was…

Edit to say: as a grown man, I still adore Doctor Who.

Didn’t want there to be any confusion about that. ;-)

Thanks for info Dave, on how long the box has been in Scarborough.
I didn’t really think Dr Who had just landed, (if that the right word!)
We over use the word “love” too much nowadays along with “nice”.

Hehe. Well, I didn’t really think you thought the Doctor (just the Doctor, not Doctor Who, that’s the name of the show, not the person who drives the Tardis - common mistake ;)) had just landed. But I did want to check that you’d photographed the same box. I couldn’t have told you that such a thing existed but, after seeing the above, a flood of memories happened and I wanted to be sure you’d photographed the box I was recalling.

    Which was nice.

    Dave,
I’m always making common mistakes, but I put Who (like you) for clarification. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it. Cheers Neil

I really hate the way that the RedBubble comment markup system turned my winking smiley into a strikeout.
