I was probably nearer 20,(1956) when this was taken. I was off on a “jolly” in a Lincoln bomber doing radar recce over Germany. I was hoping for the bomb aimer’s seat in the nose. I’m a J/T (junior tech.) here but my corporal stripes had just come through. (Acting Cpl, PAID). The Waafs (WRAF) used to enjoy pulling your parachute harness tight when fitting you out. All for your safety of course!!!
