My main interest is painting Aviation Art.
I get a lot of enjoyment researching the historical background behind the picture I’ve been commissioned to paint.
I work in acrylic on my big paintings on canvas board but use water colors, pastels, soft and oil, for smaller pieces.
I also enjoy doing pet portraits in soft pastels on tinted paper, from photographs. Ideal presents for Xmas and birthdays.

What an amazing sight. Remember the famous photo (there’s only one) of a Spit flying alongside one of these to flip it and thwart the gyro?

  • The Luftwaffe started to fitted explosives to the wing tips later on.

The later trick to tipping them became getting the slipstream of the attacking aircraft wing to upset one wing of the V1 therefore upsetting the Giro controlled flight.

  • Thanks Ted
