I always thought this was a photo of my good looking cousin until he and his sister said it was me! LOL
Wow! Velvet collar, leggings and beret!

“The year war broke out” as a famous British comedian used to say!!!LOL

My main interest is painting Aviation Art.
I get a lot of enjoyment researching the historical background behind the picture I’ve been commissioned to paint.
I work in acrylic on my big paintings on canvas board but use water colors, pastels, soft and oil, for smaller pieces.
I also enjoy doing pet portraits in soft pastels on tinted paper, from photographs. Ideal presents for Xmas and birthdays.

I love old photos like this … I can’t say if it looks like you as I have never met you, but it’s a good photo.

  • Hi Dave,
This is a studio photo so my mother could send it home, up here in Newcastle, to show she was doing well down south. My father was a grocery store assistant at the time and we lived in a summer house in someones garden in Surrey. Happy days.

  • Hi Joe,
I was on parade today, at our local war memorial, and a plaque was dedicate to a local lad who was killed along with his dog, in Afghanistan a few months ago.
