Alnmouth cobles, "Mizpah & Gracie" by

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ19, Alnmouth, double ended cobles, “Mizpah” & “Gracie”
Just had a visit 30 miles up the Northumbrian coast to the old fishing village of Alnmouth at the mouth of the river Aln. This photo was taken in the estuary with the tide out. The tide is ALWAYS out when I visit!

My main interest is painting Aviation Art.
I get a lot of enjoyment researching the historical background behind the picture I’ve been commissioned to paint.
I work in acrylic on my big paintings on canvas board but use water colors, pastels, soft and oil, for smaller pieces.
I also enjoy doing pet portraits in soft pastels on tinted paper, from photographs. Ideal presents for Xmas and birthdays.

Just below the line of the horizon is the Newcastle to Edinburgh Railway Line. No train at the moment I took this photo. We have escaped the floods in this part of North East England. Cheers
