Artist's Description

Nikon D80, Tamron AF SP 10-24mm lens at f6.3, 1/160sec, ISO 200, 10mm.

The Divco models U and GT produced from 1937, thru the early 1980’s was a workhose for city and rural delivery. They literally replaced the horse drawn wagons for milk, bread, etc, deliveries to the corner store, homes and businesses.

My Dad, a Bordens milkman at the time, 1938 – 41, was first introduced to the Divco on his route in downtown Manhattan… The Bowery. He loved to tell how he fiqured out how to bounce the Divco off the curb while he jumped off and on making the deliveries…. Hey, the horse kept moving, right!
