Ireland, County Donegal, near the Derry border. July.

This landscape is also within walking distance of where I live, but it’s quite a hike. This area is steeped in legend, and behind where I was standing is an iron age hill fort, Grianan of Aileach. This is one of my favourite photos.
It was taken between rain showers, hence the overcast sky and the mist.
Nikon D50 18-55mm lens. Converted from RAW, then minor levels and curves adjustments, and a hint of usm.

    As a gardener, I bet I’d love it there, it’s so green! and as someone who’s always been sensitive to the land and it’s memories, I bet I’d wind up sitting on that hill for days just listening and feeling those legends and vibrations and ghosts of the past, this midwestern land has a past too if you go back far enough, but not one we’re particularly proud of…
