The floodwaters were receding from Sandusky Street, returning to the Sandusky River that flows beneath the bridge near the row of orange traffic barrels. Several inches of rain falling upon several inches of late winter snow had the river rising and out of its channel. We watched the waters rising toward the hospital where I work all the previous day. I took this shot upon arriving at hospital the morning after the flooding with the waters still near the hospital and cutting across this main thoroughfare through town. The temperature drop overnight had actually frozen the river’s run across the street and I was drawn by the ice, the lighting and the reflections of the city lights upon the ice.
