Catherine, This is by far my personal favorite of all your work to date. Detail is awesome,a dn the colours are so attractive. Sometimes I am stopped by visions of Glorious beauty. This is one of those special moments. 2009 is your year of Fulfillment. You and family will experience Gods abundant love and generous provisions. You are shinning with his light and it reflects in your art. Catherine, Thank you for your prayers and financial support in Gods work in Africa. because of your giving Little Grace is now well again and has enough medicines to treat her a whole year. I admire your sense of colour. After all those years of black and white pen and ink drawing, colour is still exciting for me. I lie in bed sometimes thinking of the colour wheel and possible combinations for paintings and then I fall asleep, but it’s neve resulted in me being shown hopw to create a masterpiece in my dreams though :)
I really undertsand this:) I just started linocutting again after 30 years and it’s all that I can think about. I told a friend here that the other night I ran out of linoleum and it was the wee hours of the morning…and I had an urge to go outside and carve on a dormant oak tree. I am planning a huge, very detailed linocut of a sort of rendition of my piece here called “When All Creation Is Redeemed.”
And one thing is sure, you’ve created many masterpieces:)
I really enjoy your use of color. I’ve been struggling with the issue in my own drawings and it is quite something when you see it here, like this. Very striking.
