Not of him,
He was made,
He’s not cruel,
Just…
Affection mislaid,
Excuses,
I’ve played,
Exclusions,
In shade,
Hiding the obvious,
Why the hell have I stayed…
As I’m patting the spade,
Upon that lump in the ground,
I cherish the sound,
Of pound upon pound,
Where I’m feeling no pain,
And no bruises surround,
My delicate body,
He beat fucking down…
Emotional,
Or physical,
It’s still fucking miserable…
And as he walks through the door,
I stand up for the roar,
This time I am stronger,
I’ve killed you before,
Right here at this table,
I shiver,
Unstable,
He kisses my cheek,
This is not just a label,
It’s different,
I know it,
He’s sorry,
The same shit…
It’s different,

And he shows it…
A woman who sit’s each day thinking about getting out of her abusive relationship, however things change as he walks through the door…
woman should be treated with love and respect, its sad when their not…

unfortunatly, although on the brighter side, alot of woman do get out. I never really used to get it, never understood why woman stayed…but I guess for some abuse is still attention and affection in a way…not that I agree with it, lol. thanxz Kim x

Fantastic write which was difficult for me to read but maybe that’s because what you present is a stark truth, a reflection if you like that will resound with many women and men in abusive relationships. Such a Taboo subject for many I find, you depict it extremely well. You offer a balanced view, a weighing up of why’s. I love this piece because it will push buttons, it will bring out debate and thought in readers after they move away from it.

I’m glad this is showen well, writing from anothers eyes can be hard, you either get it right or wrong…and then you hope not offend anyone in the process, lol. it is a bid subject, I have been in the middle of one of those relationships, and so many times I had to hit a friend becuase he hit his woman. they are still together and alot happier now. Thanxz dude, much appreciated. I can only guess awareness will help, and for the groups to reach out to these woman. I remember when my girlfriend was going to the hospital to see the midwifes, they asked not to come in the room for a few mins, and in there she was handed a leaflet about domestic abuse…needless to say I was offended…but you have to understand how sensitive these things can be. And I guess if you see any man hitting a woman or being abusive, do something about it, I have many times mate. Thanxz for the comment and thought raymondoantonio ;
