Spring flooding on the Mississippi – ‘10. This shot is of a barge that was deliberately place kitty korner on the river so that it could protect some of the historic paddle wheel boats on the river from damage. As you can see, lots of river trash was captured. Some of it eventually moved on on it’s own but much was pulled out by crane scoops and carried away by trucks. There is a huge section of river trash in front of this barge but I could not capture it as I didn not have a lens wide enough (I’ve since remedied that issue). Sadly, there was also huge amounts of trash created by humans in this mess. Just one more reminder of how we take our earth for granted.
