A boy and his magpie (cowl on) by

Kid Loki & Ikol from Marvel’s Journey Into Mystery. Characters belong to Marvel, original art by me.

There are two versions of this tee, one with Loki’s cowl on and one with it off, since I couldn’t decide which I wanted. I made this as a b-day present for myself, I’m leaving it up to share with other JiM fans.

Enjoy~ <3

Could you make a version with just the magpie? He’s awesome, I long to have stickers of him. I’m one of those corvid-people, and not a fan of the comic, though.

  • Sure, I can do that. Could you let me know what size you want him? I imagine there’s a big difference when it comes to use between a coaster sized sticker and a stamp sized sticker.

PS. I’m bird lover too. We have a couple of different cockatoos who are my companion birds, and we had the privelige of raising and releasing a baby (Australian) magpie about 3 years ago. They are so clever and have so much personality! I miss having a maggie around the house… =_=

I thought (from only very recent and cursory investigation, though) that they all had to be printed to fit in a 3 X 4" window, which is about perfect for my intent. ‘Course, if I had other sizes I’d probably find places to stick ’em. PS also, we have hundreds of these black billed magpies about, they are very entertaining and charming, and well aware that it is my job to put things out on the bird table for them. I particularly like the lateish summer time, when the young ones are all showing off and screwing up practicing their flying and perching on unstable things. My companion bird is a pionus.

  • Aw, that’s lovely. And I’ve never seen a pionus before! They look a little like the lorikeets we have here. We get a lot in our backyard every day. Our daily visitors are mostly lorikeets and large sulfur-crested cockatoos. We have a few magpies in the neighbourhood too, but the parrots really dominate.

Anyway, before I get too carried away with bird-talk, I’ve uploaded the magpie pic for you. I had to upload it in tshirt/sticker format, since there wasn’t an option for sticker only, but I’m sure you know how to choose the sticker option ;-).

It has been really nice chatting with you about birds and I hope you enjoy the stickers! <3

Thanks so much! It’s excellent! Perhaps I’ll get a t-shirt later.

I guess lories are the Australian parrots that pionus most resemble. People here are not too familiar with them and I end up explaining, “They look like a mini Amazon,” but you’ve not got those either. The peculiar thing about them is that when they’re feeling affectionate, they exhale a sweet honey-floral scent.

I am very curious about Australian Magpies, who aren’t much related to our true corvid ones, and evidently have very different sort of social life.
