Now thats a lotta beef!
The logo on the bottom right is not mine. This was taken in Northern Wisconsin at their annual “Beef O-Rama”.
It is in a small town where about 90% of the shops down the main street join together to have a beef “cook off”. They dress their tents, stores, and beefs in a theme for the contest and parade.
At the end of the cook off, they gather down the street in a parade and march their beef towards the park pavillion. At the pavillion, the judges will gather a sample of each participant, and then divide the rest up amongst the public for sale as sandwiches.
The judging is based on flavor, creativity, and of course participation. I am not sure what they are awarded besides a plaque for first, second, and third place.
It is a unique festival and a fun time.
