The New York Comic-Con 2012 Neighborhood Redux by

This is my entry into the Official RB/NYCC Show Poster Challenge.

This is an Apophysis oldie but goodie that I did back in June 2010. But, I manipulated it a bit and added the text as per the instructions given for the contest. I hope this is big enough. It needs to be poster size.

I hope you like it.

Made using Apophysis 7X (by dA’s Xyrus02 aka Georg Kiehne) and postwork done in PhotoPlus X5.

Full view for detail.

I am a recent fractal artist, just since 2008. I have fallen in love with this type of art because of the infinite variety of form, fabulous colors and great lighting effects that can be achieved. The software is mostly free and I dabble with most of them. If you enjoy fractal art, please take a look at my gallery. I would be thrilled if you stop by and say “Hi” and make a comment (or not)!

Beautiful work of art. Love this Peggi.

  • Thank you so much, Bunny! I got a wild hair and decided to enter this Challenge. I probably don’t have a snowball’s chance in Hades, but you never know! I really appreciate the wonderful compliment!

A stunning image, Peggi and it would certainly win my vote. I’ve had a rough day and of all the cute and beautiful art I’ve looked at this is the only one that made me smile. I don’t know why – maybe it’s triggered some sub-conscious memory or something, but I am sitting here staring at it and letting the joy it brings envelop me. :) Thank you … and best of wishes for the contest.

  • Oh, good heavens, Belinda! What a wonderful thing to say! The thought that this makes someone smile is a bonus! I truly appreciate your lovely comment and and good luck wishes for the Challenge. I’m going to need it, I think. Even if it got 3rd prize, I’d be thrilled! Thanks so much for the comment, my friend. You always make me feel really good!
