Golden Pong Brocade by wolfepaw

Featured in The Ultimate UF5 and Beyond 12-31-2010

This is a tweak I did for PONG CHALLENGE 4-PHOENIX JULIA AND LAYERING (Practice) in Fractal Pong . This is the first one they’ve done in awhile and it’s my first UF tweak. This is just a practice run so that people could get back in the swing of things. The original params came from plunder and autumngirl I hope you like it.

This is what the original image looked like:

Not much of a change, but I liked the end result.

Made in UF5 and postwork done in GIMP.

I am a recent fractal artist, just since 2008. I have fallen in love with this type of art because of the infinite variety of form, fabulous colors and great lighting effects that can be achieved. The software is mostly free and I dabble with most of them. If you enjoy fractal art, please take a look at my gallery. I would be thrilled if you stop by and say “Hi” and make a comment (or not)!

The depth and texture’s are amazing. Beautiful work.

  • Thank you very much,Christine! I did like the way the texture came out, like some kind of rich satin brocade. When I got that effect, I said “That’s it. Let’s render”.

This is a seriously nice tweak, hon! Very good work!

  • Thank you very much, Michelle! Thank you for providing the great params to start with. I’m so glad y’all started the PONG Challenges again. I can learn so much do them and I love to see the different variations on the same basic params. It’s one of the things about fractals that I just love.
