I finally got around to doing another collage full of Apo “fractalets”. This reef is full of coral, algae, jellyfish, various aquatic plants, a seashell, a crab, a polychaete and some fishies! This reef is one place that won’t get spoiled by any oil slicks or other pollution. Swim around for awhile. I hope you find it refreshing!

All fractals made in Apophysis 2.08 3D Hack or Apophysis 7X 2010 and postwork in GIMP.

I am a recent fractal artist, just since 2008. I have fallen in love with this type of art because of the infinite variety of form, fabulous colors and great lighting effects that can be achieved. The software is mostly free and I dabble with most of them. If you enjoy fractal art, please take a look at my gallery. I would be thrilled if you stop by and say “Hi” and make a comment (or not)!

I see you found the fish. Great creation. Full of color and things to look at.

  • Thank you, Vivien! Yes, this is the closest I’ve come to making an Apo fish. I think it still needs some work, but at least it’s close.

Beautiful collage! I can always tell your work by the vibrant colors and creative use of Apo designs.

  • Thank you so much, Kathleen!! DO you think it’s too busy? I think I might have gotten carried away with sticking bits in it. But I wanted a lot of things to look at.

Oh this is just elegant! Nice work Peggi!

  • I’m so happy you liked it Debi!!! I was having so much fun finding pieces to put in it. I could have done some more, but then I figured it would be so crowded, you couldn’t see anything!

I love your little compositions like these. This is gorgeous and brilliant work.

  • WOW, Bunny!! Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment! I’m so glad you like my little Apo collages. I have so much fun doing them. Every time I make a new fractal, I look at it with an eye for possible use in a future collage. I have so many I would like to use, I just need the right theme as a basis.

Wonderful. Vibrant. Beautiful. And so much to see!

  • Wow! Thank you so much, Fiona! I’m so happy you enjoyed my little underwater collage. Lots of fractals went into this one. Even the seafloor is a fractal.
