Now THIS is broccoli. I know you thought the parsley looked like broccoli, but I think this looks more like broccoli than that one. What do you think?

Apo Parsley

BTW, this is NOT a render! It is a Print Screen of the Apo window with a quality of 1000 and then pasted into GIMP.

The fractal was generated in Apophysis 7X 2010 and the print screen image was postworked in GIMP. A little emboss going on.

Full view for detail.

Update: This was featured in Fractal Art Frenzy on 05-29-10! Thank you so very much for the support. I’m always happy when others like my work. It makes it more enjoyable for me.

I am a recent fractal artist, just since 2008. I have fallen in love with this type of art because of the infinite variety of form, fabulous colors and great lighting effects that can be achieved. The software is mostly free and I dabble with most of them. If you enjoy fractal art, please take a look at my gallery. I would be thrilled if you stop by and say “Hi” and make a comment (or not)!

Oh, yes, this is broccoli; saw it from the thumbnail. Fractal branching is everywhere in nature, including broccoli! Great design.

  • Thank you! I thought so, too. Can you see the difference between this and “Parsley”?

Looks like you’re already separating florettes for the cooking
    pan also. I like!

  • Loved your comment! Maybe I need to make an Apo frying pan to cook them in. Sorry for the delay in responding to your great comment. I am always trying to catch up with my comments. Forgive my rudeness.
