One of my earliest fractals from Apophysis 2.08 3D Hack. I like the shiny quality of the jellybeans. Almost looks good enough to eat.

I am a recent fractal artist, just since 2008. I have fallen in love with this type of art because of the infinite variety of form, fabulous colors and great lighting effects that can be achieved. The software is mostly free and I dabble with most of them. If you enjoy fractal art, please take a look at my gallery. I would be thrilled if you stop by and say “Hi” and make a comment (or not)!

    Lovely Peggi. I really fancy one of the iridescent green ones.

  • I want to try one of the little blue hearts. I wonder if they taste like blueberry?

    I love this – have you been to a luminarium? Giant inflatable building full of colours, this really reminds me of being in one :)

  • Thank you! No, I’ve never been to a luminarium, but based on your description, I would love to see one! Do they have one where you live?

    This is a link to a site about one of these sculptures: “http://www.bbc.co.uk/nottingham/content/panoram...;

    This is by a Nottingham artist (where I live) but I think some of these (if not this one) have travelled around the world. also you can put ‘luminarium’ into google and click the images tag. I think you will love these pics!! :)

  • WOW!!! Those are amazing! I would love to go into one. I don’t think the pictures do them justice. Most are too small to really see them and appreciate what it must look like in one of those. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen one in the States or even heard about them. Thanks so much for the “enlightening” information. That’s too cool!!
