Death Can Love (Hades- Part 2)

“It is impossible to cut the threads of life!!!!” Atropos shrieked
“If Axelia does not cease in her aid of the humans, then her thread will be cut. Forget not, that immortal like you, she is not.” Clothos added
While Axelia was made only from a statue like the humans, Hades did love her.
“Agree to step down, she does, rule over the dead along side myself she will, and leave the ending of human lives in your hands, and we do.”
Satisfied with Hades’ answer, the fates left to continue with their duties. When Axelia returned that evening (she had gone hunting with Artemis), soaked with sweat and toil. Hearing what Hades had done, only made matters worse.
Artemis had made Axelia look like a fool, catching much game while Axelia only managed a squirrel and a sad looking vixen.
“What do you mean I can no longer protect them? It’s in my nature. It’s in my blood! “
“I’m really sorry, but it was that or the fates would cut your string, and well…”
“Well what? “She spat at him, cross and infuriated
“I wouldn’t be able to deal with that.”
Tensions were high in the throne room. Hades disappeared to his private study, leaving Axelia all alone. After thinking over the situation for quite some time, she was grateful for what Hades had done for her. She fell asleep the instant she had dismissed her feelings of anger.
