Photographed on my lunch break, Feb.29th. The Gray Partridge is not native to North America as it was introduced from Eurasia. There are several pockets in eastern Ontario where they thrive, mainly around large agricultural fields. Photographed near Navan, Ontario. Canon 7D, 400mm f5.6L, 1/3200, f6.3, iso 400, handheld.

Spending time in the outdoors has always been a passion of mine. Most of my subject matter is avian but I will readily spend hours photographing almost anything else in the natural world. Currently I live near a small town, Rockland, just east of Ottawa. I work in Ottawa and so most of my photography is done in eastern Ontario. Thank you for dropping by and enjoy.
