Common Redpoll (Carduelis flammea) in Gently Falling Snow by

Common Redpoll (Carduelis flammea) perched on Milkweed while snow flurries fall gently. Photographed in Clarence-Rockland, Ontario, Canada. Canon EOS 7D, 400mm f5.6L USM, 1/500s, f/7.1, iso400.

Spending time in the outdoors has always been a passion of mine. Most of my subject matter is avian but I will readily spend hours photographing almost anything else in the natural world. Currently I live near a small town, Rockland, just east of Ottawa. I work in Ottawa and so most of my photography is done in eastern Ontario. Thank you for dropping by and enjoy.

You must hide out in birdland, Bill! You have some truly amazing shots of birds – and this one is no exception. Great clarity and detail!

  • LOL, sometimes I think so, Mary! Thanks very much.
