Cruising thru yesterday in the shade of the tall oak tree. Found this old rusty 1948/49 chevrolet(?) sitting on a farm near Oregon Wisconsin.

Beautiful capture and lighting, very pretty shot

  • Thank you Trudi. I’m glad you like this one. I’ve driven by this location dozens and dozens of times and never noticed this old car sitting there before. It’s sitting quit a distance back off from the hwy. There’s an old weathered barn just off to the right beyond the small trees off the rearend of the vehicle. I took several shots with the old barn but unfortunately they turned out a bit over exposed because of the bright sunlight. This place isnt far from home so i’ll definately be stopping by to see the old car again.

This is simply a wonderfully taken photograph.
Both subjects surrounded and framed naturally
by nature. That big tree in the foreground, as I
see it, is the third subject in it’s own right.
    This is outstanding photography :)

WOW! This looks like you stepped backward in time! I remember a scene like that from my childhood (Telling my age here. LOL!) Vintage photo material, for sure!

  • Thank you Pauline. The car is way before my time (born 2/1957). I dont know how i could have missed this old car as many times as i’ve driven by here.

Yes, you could probably get a great snow scene with this.

  • I agree…i’ll be returning for the autumn colors, the snows of winter and the freshness of spring. The car is close enough to home (within 10 miles) that i can return to it frequently. It’s really hard to tell if anyone lives in the old farmhouse. There’s quite a few other cars on the property (60’s to 70’ models). I might try and sneak onto the property to get some closer shots. Depends on how brave i’m feeling lol….
