Journey to Dreamland

The Bedtime Stories series continues. Two good friends who are artists here on Redbubble Darla Reeves and Ed Logsdon of D&E Photography have a grandson Matthew Newton who we thought would be a good subject for the series and I asked them to take certain shots and email them to me. Here is the result of one of the shots. There is nothing more powerful and delightful for me then to make an image for a child to see himself or herself in a dream world and put a smile on family faces. Ed and Darla have provided me with the name of this image. The birds are stock provided to me by Aimee Stewart.

Childhood Dreams

There once was a child named Matthew. Matthew was a very happy little boy.

Matthew loved books He would sit on his Grandfather’s lap for hours looking at books. One day his Grandfather brought him a book titled “Childhood Dreams.” He told Matthew it was a very special book that would allow him to go anywhere and see anything he wanted.

Matthew’s Grandmother loved to watch the doves in the yard and Matthew would watch
them with her. He loved the birds too

Matthew’s Daddy liked to play games with castles in them. He liked to sit and watch Daddy play his games.

Matthew’s Mommy liked to look at the sky and dream of Oz. Matthew liked the shiny lights in the sky and loved to sit with Mommy and watch the nighttime sky.

When Matthew opened the book Grandfather had brought him, he found himself in another world This is what he saw:
