Maybe you’ve read the “His Dark Materials” trilogy by Phillip Pullman, or just “The Golden Compass” – truly steampunk for the younger set! Here is my illustration of the formidable Lord Asriel with his daemon, the snow leopard Stellamaria. Lord Asriel holds his projecting device with which he will convince the Oxford Scholars of the existence of Dust. He is set against text from the novel.

Love it Ramona. How do you make it look so seamless?
I don’t know, because it’s really not – it’s all handcut and glued, not a digital collage. Good scanner, maybe? ;-)
Thanks, Bec :-).
Perfect characterization! Bravo!
Please post this surreal dream to The Voyage of the Surrealists
