Steampunk Lady Godiva
In the famous legend, Lady Godiva so sympathizes with her subjects’ suffering under her husband’s oppressive taxes that she pleads with him to lift the tariffs and give the people some relief. Sick of her persistence and wanting to call her bluff, Leofric tells her he will lift the tax if she rides naked through the city and to his surprise, Godiva does, after instructing the townspeople to shutter their windows and stay inside.
