... this is another great yes, wayne! exquisite composition – minimal and almost “cold” – but “warmth” by the tiny, tender flowers details … an … ikebana!
    have a nice day!

  • Wayne Pearson replied

Hi Rita, thankyou very much for your very warm and much appreciated comments. Yes the flowers add comfort to the starkness of the image, I think it shows that no matter how alone or exposed we may sometimes feel, that there is always a ray of hope ( in this case ) in the form of the softness and colour of the almost hidden flowers.
    Cheers,
    Wayne

    G’day Wayne…
what a great shot…. more importantly who was the architect & what effect did he/she aim for on the inside of the building…
    but you’ve captured a beauty!!!!
    Well done mate
Hope you & yours are all well as we are over this side of the country..
    Cheers mate
    Lee

  • Wayne Pearson replied

Giday Lee, glad to hear that all is good with both of you. Thankyou very much for your encouraging comments mate. The building is modeled after a famous painter called Mondrian, very minimalist , and very interesting. I didn’t see the inside, but it looked like it had lots of natural light as the main windows face North.
    Cheers,
    Wayne

    abmay

All the above – fantastic to have the three shapes in the one image.

  • Wayne Pearson replied

Thankyou very much Abmay, yes I was very lucky, especially with a minimalist image to have so many “things ’ in the image.
    Cheers,
    Wayne

    G’day WAYNE!

This is a great find and you have made a grand presentation.
The minimalism, the separation, and even the close proximity of the elements to the edge of frame work so well together and I applaud you for not being tempted to bung up the saturation. Less is more here.
I feel the best presentation as shown on this page to be the wider black matt.
Is there a metaphor? Is there a story? Maybe there is. Maybe there isn’t. What happens to me when I view this fine work is that I just take in the pure abstractness of the art and revel in it.
(I could say it reminds me of a memory card slot with two little lights – one is the green On light, the other the red Operating light. But I won’t). 8-)

Wonderful capture Wayne, like a beautiful minimalist painting, I love the “hidden” sunflower. There’s something really beautiful about these composition shots of yours, I think maybe it resonates with how I look at architecture and how I try (and struggle sometimes) with finding the balance with a buildings facade, great work

  • Wayne Pearson replied

Giday Blueeyesjus, thankyou for your fantastic comments, don’t worry I struggle too, I really love clean and strong shapes, They are not for everyone, but as long as there are at least two of us who appreciate this type of image, we’ll be happy !! LOL
    Cheers,
    Wayne
