I took this image in 2006 and it seemed fitting that she be my very first subject with my new Nikon D200. I rather liked her mood and elegance. I know the thumbnail comes across at the middle of her body, but I hope others will click to see just how beautiful she was. I lost her to Lymphoma just this last week.

Cameras and photography captured my interest years ago as a child with my little Brownie. The cameras have changed over the years until the Digital age when I got really serious about photography. Not only has my work improved, but it has opened many doors to meeting wonderful people along the way. New friendships and learning new skills… I am hopeful that some of my best work is yet to come.

I’m very sorry you’ve lost Smokey, Marjorie. Your photo of her is beautiful – yes, she’s very elegant, and beautiful, too. I love how you caught her looking back over her shoulder, and how you caught the gloss on her fur. You have a wonderful memory in this photo.

  • Thank you very much, Jan. I will always miss her.

I am so sorry for your loss, Marjorie! I am grieving too, as just last friday i lost my dog too, so i understand and send you big hugs. Smokey is an absolutely stunning cat, perhaps she and my doggy will play with each other at the Rainbow Bridge! Hugs! Birg

  • Thank you so much, Birg for your sweet words. I am so sorry to hear you have lost your dog. It is such a heart-ache to loose our dearest four legged friends. I tell myself there is a Rainbow Bridge and imagine Smokey playing there all healthy and serene again.
