After having cut Hydrangeas for Amanda’s wedding, I thought they made quite a show just by simply sitting in this aqua bucket waiting to be made into wedding bouquets.
Weddings and hydrangeas go together beautifully. Whether used in bouquets, arrangements, or even on the cake, hydrangeas create an elegant and beautiful accent. One can choose to use hydrangeas sparingly or to make them the theme for the entire wedding and reception. They come in beautiful shades of blue, pink, lavender, purple, pink, red, burgundy and white. You could use three or five as a lovely Bridal bouquet or you could mix them with other favorite flowers. Since they grow so profusely on established plants, you find there will not be a shortage of flowers for bride, attendants and decorations for where the ceremony is held or the reception. Since they are one of the few flowers that dry so easily, they can also be a sweet momento to keep long after that special day.
