A favorite image of my Smokey turned into B&W and cropped to make a beautiful card. This was the first photo I took of Smokey with my Nikon D200 just six years ago.

My darling Smokey was my very first rescue kitty and birthday present, May 2000. She had been found with her Mother , living on the street and the lady at Petsmart rescued them and kept them in her den while they were regaining their health. When I first brought her home, you could not pick her up. Her legs would go rigid and she would scratch and claw to be let down. It took many months before she got used to me and even longer to accept other humans. September of that year, I adopted Snowball to be her friend. Now, my beautiful and elegant Smokey is my constant companion, sleeping within the curl of my arm each night. She will tap me on the shoulder to roll over and hold her. Such a precious blessing in my life.
Smokey is an Oriental Tuxedo kitty. She is my darling honey girl who is my constant companion when I am at home Right now she is sitting on the edge of my desk just enjoying my company, looking just about like this. At night, she lets me know when it is time to settle down on the couch so that she can be a lap kitty.

Cameras and photography captured my interest years ago as a child with my little Brownie. The cameras have changed over the years until the Digital age when I got really serious about photography. Not only has my work improved, but it has opened many doors to meeting wonderful people along the way. New friendships and learning new skills… I am hopeful that some of my best work is yet to come.

    makes a great B&W

  • Yes, I thought so too. Even in colour, she is still totally black and white, except her golden-green eyes make it coloured. Here, it is simply B&W. :~)

He’s beautiful! Great black and white shot! ;)

  • Everyone seems to mistake Smokey for a boy, but actually she is a girl. Very elegant and sometimes rather alpha. Yes, I rather like this as a B&W as well.
