Old and grainy but cherished...

Artist's Description

We lost my sister, Ellie six years ago. It was so very sudden and unexpected for we thought she was as healthy as the rest of us. Not only that, she was the youngest of the six of us siblings.
She loved her family, gardening, cooking, quilting and playing the piano and guitar. So very soft spoken and gentle, she was absolutely crazy about cats and kittens. My brother, Dave recently was going through his old slides and he came up with this rare treasure.
I had never seen it before and I was beside myself with happiness, for it is almost like she had came back for a little visit. This image says so much about how she was as a person and I wanted to share it with you. The soft focus and grainy appearance makes it look like an old painting to my eye and a greatly treasured image to have.
