Cameras and photography captured my interest years ago as a child with my little Brownie. The cameras have changed over the years until the Digital age when I got really serious about photography. Not only has my work improved, but it has opened many doors to meeting wonderful people along the way. New friendships and learning new skills… I am hopeful that some of my best work is yet to come.

It catches my fancy too! I love it :)

  • Thank you, CHeri. I loved the contrasts in this image. The rustic farm piece against the lavender and the picket fence just spoke to me. I am so glad you like it as well.

Great shot what wonderful feel of the old and rusty and the new and fresh of the lavender

  • Thank you so much, Barbara. Sometimes for me, it is the contrasts that make the most compelling images. I have to linger and look for a while. There was also the most delicious fragrance on this warm day.

An instant FAV for me Marjorie, this is such a beautiful scene. Love the old, hard, rusty iron amongst the lovely new blooming heather. Got to be a winner and will be featured soooooo many times. I predict. Don.

  • Ooooh, thank you so much, Don. I love to hear those words. I have actually been going over my photos from my trip to the Lavender fields in 2008 when I saw the potential in this image. I loved the various contrasts and textures that made me want to linger and study this image. A little crop and all of a sudden it had magic. So happy you like it too.

The waft from the lavender is drifting over here- so beautiful- a great capture!

  • Yes, isn’t the fragrance of newly blooming lavender the most devine thing ever? I will never forget that moment I stepped out of my car on that warm summer’s day. Pure magic.

Perfect color combination. Beautiful angle and all of that makes for the perfect shot. Very well done this is extremely beautiful

  • Thank you so much, Sandra. I had actually been going through my photos from last year, hoping to find some overlooked treasure when I stumbled across this. All it took was a little cropping to make it into something I just wanted to linger and gaze at. I am so glad you like it.
