Snowball was a rescued cat found living behind a grocery store with a litter of kittens and in very bad shape. She was under-weight, with many health issues that needed to be taken care of before I could adopt her. She has always been so very gentle and affectionate and a blessing in my home. She will be about 11 years old this year and sleeps most of the time, but every evening she will come and sit next to me so that she can get as much attention as is humanly possible.

In this image, she was mesmerized by a sunbeam and just a second later she jumped down to chase it. As with most white cats who have blue eyes, she is deaf. Light, on the other hand, holds great fascination for her.

“To some people, homeless cats are of little value. But to those who are not quite so blind, they are not only precious lives, but also very special beings, blessed with the ability to touch our imagination and lead us into a world of true magic and wonder.” ~ Michael Mountain, President , Best

Cameras and photography captured my interest years ago as a child with my little Brownie. The cameras have changed over the years until the Digital age when I got really serious about photography. Not only has my work improved, but it has opened many doors to meeting wonderful people along the way. New friendships and learning new skills… I am hopeful that some of my best work is yet to come.

She looks so pretty, Very beautiful photo!

  • Thank you Ellen. The mirrow is fun because it doubles the amount of flowers I have. Nice contrast to her white fur.

Margie, this is terrific! Snowball is beautiful and the tulips really stand out in full color! I didn’t realize that white, blue-eyed cats were usually deaf – I would like to talk with you more about that, as I used to have one, “Baby,” we called her, who had one blue and one green eye. – Pat

  • Oh yes, I do not know if it is all, but everyone I talk to about this seems to agree. My sister had one that had one blue eye and one green. Had much the same personality of my Snowball. A little cranky at times, but always very affectionate with me. Little Murphy is the only cat that she will play with.
