All is shipshape
Foss Waterway ~ Tacoma, Washington.
Everything was shipshape on the Gloria of Columbia. I stood in line for hours just to walk aboard her. One of the most beautiful and best cared for ships I have ever seen.

I love the repeating pattern of the rigging lines. This one really brings out the sailor in me…

Thank you so much, darling girl. I am honored to be chosen today on my image, for it brings back the blissful days of summer when I walked the decks of this amazing tall ship.

Love the POV on this one…very unique.
I am always fascinated by the Tall ships…both the originals and the replicas…which is this?
Marjorie Wallace replied
Thank you, Estes. This is an original. It is the Gloria out of Columbia. Last year I volunteered in the Tall Ships and it is quite an organization. Nearly all of the ships you see will be originals and their main thing is to instruct young people on how to operate the tall ships. Our weather last year was not good… it was rather rainy and it seriously hampered the success of the festival. Check this out; http://www.tallshipstacoma.com/

This is a great shot, Marjie! We had 2 of these great ships in our area a couple of months ago. They are awesome and you have captured one very well! ~:)
Marjorie Wallace replied
Thank you so much, Susan. I appreciate your comments. Aren’t those tall ships just the greatest. Last year, I volunteered on that organization in Tacoma for six months. It was great fun.
