Mahalo for coming to visit one of my most favorite photos of Maui. Such a beautiful place, it is good to come and visit in the morning for the light over the water is magical. Aqua, turquise, deep blue with white waves crashing on the shore. Once you have been here, you will never forget this perfect little bay that has been nicknamed the “Wedding Beach.”.

Sharon, I am so glad you brought me here and now you have seen one of the photos we took that morning. A have many photos to wade through as I am sure you do as well. When my daughter saw this photo, she said she is going to pack her bags and we are headed back for Maui like right now. What an amazing time we had.

Thank you, David. It is one of those places that you don’t want to leave. Once you are there, you wish that you had taken more for your holiday… but duty is calling you back home. Then you promise yourself that you will come back. Each time I look at this photograph, I tell myself again that I must return soon.

I met Sharon on Webshots about two years ago as I was getting ready to go to Maui for holiday. I had been admiring her photos of our beloved Maui and as we wrote back and forth, she recommended many of her favorite places. She had lived there for a while, but at the time I got to know her, she was living in Alaska. Before long, we were talking on the phone and then she moved to Maui for good and met her darling Jacob at the end of summer last year. After a short whirlwind courtship, they were married and when they invited me, it was only natural that I would fly over for the celebration and take photos. I do believe I got the last remaining seat on the plane and it was a celebration I will never forget. Being surrounded by other gifted photographers is like finding kindred spirits and there are many I have met here and also on Webshots. It was a magical time for all who were there and I hope for a reunion one day soon.

Hello Marda; I do not know where big beach is. The only thing that I can think you might be suggesting, would be the one that is in front of all of the big resort hotels and seems to tie them all together. This beach is north of there on the east coast and very private. One of the prettiest beaches I have ever seen.

So many places on Maui are like a paradise. Next time I come, I want to bring my daughter and stay in Kihei… not too far from here. Kihei is the perfect place to catch lovely sunsets.

Kihei is exactly where we stayed. It was close to Wailea, Makena, Lahaina and Kaanapali but not so close when we wanted to explore Hana Road. Next time I will divide my stay in half and stay on Hana Rd for a couple of nigths. No matter where you stay you will be in paradise again.
