The Chase

I can’t really write a description without ruining this piece, sorry! ^^

He smells like the untouched earth,
Looks like the shine of the Moon,
Feels like the sting of the thorn,
He his after me.

My heart beats faster,
thud-thunk… thud-thunk

My footfalls louder,
tak
tak
tak
tak

My scream as I trip, and fall.
AAAA
AAAA
AAAA
AHH!!!!

I fall,
and fall,
and fall…
and fall…

He is on me,
I can feel his paws,
I can smell his fur,
But where is he…?
Not here…
I cautiously call out

“Adam?”

No answer.

“Where did you go…?”

Silence.

I start to cry.
My wolf friend isn’t here.
Never was, and never will be,
At least,

Not to other people…

“You’re it!”
I hear from behind me.
