Broken

Reflections of yesturday…
Broken mirror images,
on the ground.
Photos once clear…
fluid,
now blurred,
blistered.

Running from
broken mirrors,
my images
in pieces.
Photos
tucked away…
sealed ,
air tight
boxes.
Hidden…
reminding me
FOREVER
What used to
BE…
now
BROKEN.

The past always walks beside the present…sometimes we need to walk a bit faster.

I hear your cry, and recognize it all too well. As a mother of three daughters, I feel your pain race through my blood right now. I do know that sometimes it’s those cracks and bumps we proudly wear after we’ve pieced it all back together that make us most beautiful. So, here’s to the character that can only be produced by the journey of healing. Congratulations on the features.

Quite moving – as other have said. . . heal, time will smooth some of the wrinkles. .
