Confirmed Petrol Head first and foremost, who happens to enjoy photography as a hobby.
I was bitten by the motor sport bug at a young age and prefer long distance sports car racing over single seaters. I also love the passion and enthusiasm of the owners and drivers of historic race cars and find this form of motorsport, as well as rallying, the most spectacular because of the lower grip levels and loose style of driving employed.

This is a great shot, but I can relate to your title. Such a beautiful car, why would you put it through this!
I can’t answer your question Nigel, but I was glad to be a witness!

Ouch! Maybe you can buy it cheap now…
The theory is that the provenance improves by rallying the car (successfully). I am trying to resolve the formula servicing costs over increase in value.

I’ve had three of these beauties over the years and they just want to be driven. Better in a muddy field than a museum :)
Nice capture
That answers Nigel’s question quite nicely!
Thanks for the comment.
